A successful student at CCHS learns to be a self-directed, confident advocate for themselves. They are present, positive, and productive, and have a plan for their future… tomorrow, next week, next month, and beyond graduation.

School Goals

School Goals iconSchool Goalstitle

At CCHS, we believe in being very intentional in teaching all students how to be successful, both personally and professionally. It is crucial that students create patterns of behavior now that will lead to success at school and beyond. We ask our students to internalize our three goals for being present, positive, and productive.

Present

Successful students choose to:
  • be at school every day and have an attendance rate of at least 90%.
  • be in class on time and ready to learn.
  • remain on campus for the entire school day.

Positive

Successful students choose to:
demonstrate strong academic and social problem solving skills.
demonstrate positive and supportive interpersonal skills.
demonstrate a strong sense of self-control.
ask for help when needed.

Productive

Successful students choose to:
  • track their progress in all of their classes.
  • use instructional time for academic work.
  • avoid distractions and stay on task.
  • do the work necessary to earn at least 20 credits per quarter.
